3 years old (1 adult to 10 children): 

Welcome to preschool!  Our bees are buzzing with excitement when it comes to learning.  Our certified teachers incorporate many different learning approaches into their lesson plans.  The children are treated to activities that challenge and delight young minds.  At Ducklings, 3 year olds are also eligible to participate in a half-day preschool program, which runs from Labor Day – Memorial Day. 

Sample Daily Schedule for all Preschoolers

• 7:00- 9:00 AM - Arrival:
  bring your own breakfast, free play.
• 9:00-9:15 - Clean up and potty break
• 9:15-9:30 - Morning Meeting:
  morning song, greet the children, discuss weather, day of the week, and plans for the day.
• 9:30-10:00 - Learning Circle:
  Alphabet and counting, open ended language activities, problem solving, songs and finger plays.
• 10:00-10:30 - Outside play or Gym time
• 10:30-11:00 - Centers:
  Art, life skills, dramatic play, writing center, math counters and patterning, science lab, etc.
• 10:30-11:00 - Story Time
• 11:00-11:30 - Karate, dance, or Spanish class for those registered continuation of centers of all others
• 11:30-12:00 - Free Play
• 12:00-12:30 PM - Lunch
• 12:30-1:00 - Clean up and potty break
• 1:00-3:00 - Nap:
  quiet music and lights out.
